Winter: Grant Kickoff Meeting -  February 7, 2023 at 6:30pm (Hybrid Event)
With the annual theme identified, our grants committee pulls together resources around the topic and holds a kickoff meeting for all members (and anyone interested in learning more) to discuss nonprofits that are working to improve conditions in this area. This is an inspirational/brainstorm session that refreshes our passion for the grant cycle, and we can learn about where people have been inspired around the annual theme. Participants often come out of this meeting with a renewed excitement over finding a worthy nonprofit and proposing a grant on their behalf. Contact us for event location and virtual meeting information.

Spring: Grant Reveal Event - 2023 Date/Time TBD (Hybrid Event)
Once the votes are in the executive committee brings us together for a  casual event to toast the winners. This is always a fun celebration. Contact us for details!

Summer: Grant Celebration Event - 2023 September 20th at 8:00pm at Ballard Elks (In-Person Event)
Jean at the Summer eventEvery summer we gather in Seattle with the year's grantees to celebrate them, the work they do, and how Act of Giving's grants will help their work. Light food and drinks are provided. It's a fun time to meet new people and learn about great work being done by inspiring organizations.

The summer event also offers Act of Giving members, family, friends and guests an opportunity to connect with each other. Being able to share the Act of Giving mission and encourage participation is an important aspect of the event.

We're meeting together in person this year, so all are welcome! If you would like an invitation, email info@actofgiving.org. We're excited to host this summer's event at the Sunset Bay Lodge at the Ballard Elks, which will be a beautiful opportunity to celebrate with our grantees.

Fall: Annual Meeting - 2023 Date/Time TBD (Hybrid Event)
General Info Session – We share the history of Act of Giving and the current grant process. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get information about joining. Following the info session, this part of the meeting provides the chance to discuss the funding available for the next grant cycle and then brainstorm potential themes. The Annual Meeting has historically been a day of inspiration as we hear about all the potential areas of need in our world and have open discussions around where our donation could have a big impact. Every two years, a new Executive Committee is voted into office at the annual meeting. This year's event will be hosted on Zoom and in person. Contact us to learn more!
